To save the lives of those injured in a road accident, Akshat Prakash, an Uttar Pradesh (UP) student, has made a new electronic device to save anyone who meets in a road accident.

This device created by Akshat has been named ‘Helix Safe’. He gives the first presentation at International Science Fair 2015 in Taiwan. This device could become a boon for those who cannot get immediate treatment after a road accident, and it causes death.

In the case of accidents, this device will grasp the injured heartbeats and automatically inject the drug. Through this, the injured gets time to reach a hospital and get treatment.

Akshat Prakash, a 17-year-old student of 12th DPS, lives in the Indirapuram area in Gajiyabad. He said, “Many of the injured cannot get immediate treatment after an accident. But now, this device will provide Life Support Treatment to such patients.

The prototype of this device is made with the Arduino Development Environment, heart rate sensor, and other devices. With this, it has been programmed with Embedded C and Visual basic.

Akshat wants to make his career in ‘Research in Computer Science’. Computer Society of India, and in 2013, he And the best Nurture Talent and Innovation Award for the first Whij Kidd won.

He said, “This small size of the device, which is known as ‘helix safe’ can be easily worn. Indeed, it was to give medical assistance to the real purpose of such patients, who cannot get immediate help for a long time after the accident.”

‘Helix Safe’ the device works according to individual diagnosis. After the rate of accidents increases, this risk does hang. Then the device automatically injects the drug/medicine as per the patient’s needs. Additionally, it gives notice of an accident to the nearest hospital/medical center.
