Yesterday, Elon Musk announced via Twitter that orders for his revolutionary solar roofs hardware would begin from today. He said it would be available in almost any country. Tesla has developed a revolutionary solar roof that will have an infinity warranty.

These solar roofs complete your home’s structure and turn sunlight into electricity. It consists of a power walk battery that stores energy in the form of sunlight. Tesla also guaranteed that the tiles are literally forever. It stated, “Glass solar tiles are so durable they are warranted for the lifetime of your house, or infinity, whichever comes first.”

CEO Elon Musk first hinted that this solar roof will be cheaper than a regular roof after accounting for energy savings. Later he said that Tesla’s solar roof could cost less than a regular roof – even before energy production.

The solar cells are invisible that customize the amount of electricity according to energy needs. It uses two types of glass tiles solar tile and non-solar tile.

In actuality, this solar roof is made from tempered glass. Thus, the tiles used inside it are three times stronger than standard roofing tiles. That’s the reason, it has a lifetime best warranty.

The company reported, “The value of energy your Solar Roof is expected to produce over 30 years is based on the average price of electricity in your area, adjusted for inflation by 2% annually.”

The test video is for the highest FM 4473 hail rating, and Tesla asserts that the video was filmed at a staggering 2,500 frames per second. Each five-centimeter (two-inch) hailstone travels at approximately 177 kph (110 mph) on impact.

The user could also use other energy solutions alongside the solar roofs to help decrease energy bills and allow individuals to truly go off the grid.

If asking about cost, as mentioned above, it will cost less than a regular solar roof. In fact, it may earn you money – as an example, the out-of-pocket cost of a Solar Roof for a typical home in Maryland will be around $52,000, but after considering the tax credit and the value of the energy it generates, the roof will actually pay for itself and earn you about $8,000 over 30 years.
