19 Year Old Built His Buggy Car By Watching YouTube Videos

Although, YouTube is a great source of ‘Do-It-Yourself’ (DIY) videos for you to watch and learn from. By taking advantage of this, a Commerce student, Prem Thakur with the limited financial condition have developed a Buggy Car. Limited financial condition and no background in Engineering does not stop Prem’s dream to develop his car.

Nineteen-year-old Prem Thakur developed his buggy car by using a second-hand Hyundai Accent engine. He built this car within the period of 4 months. Thakur’s father works as a rickshaw puller. To build this buggy car, it takes almost Rupees 2.5 lakh for him and his family.

He said, “I have built this buggy from scratch, using an old sedan’s engine. Within the duration of four months, I wielded the car from the chassis up and painted it all by myself. Without my family and the Internet connection, I couldn’t possibly have built this car.”

This new car has some new fancy features like cool side blinkers and a music system with USB port.

Prem Thakur is the resident from Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. His father is a rickshaw driver, earns a meager daily income of Rupees. 500-600. He was determined to ensure Prem’s education.

Prem said, “My father got me a computer when I was 12. Since then, I have used the internet to learn all sorts of things, including how to make a buggy car. I am car admirer since my childhood. When I expressed my desire to make a car by myself, my parents had easily cited monetary difficulties. But Instead, my family, especially my grandmother came together and helped me to realize my dream.”
